Maybe just maybe the government does get some things right after all. The FCC announced today that they are launching an inquiry into AT&T and Apple over the rejection of Google Inc’s voice application for the iPhone. Apparently this request is part of a broader inquiry by the FCC into exclusive deals between cell phone carriers and handset manufacturers. Part of this request for information is also expected to cover why Apple and possibly AT&T had related third party Google Voice applications pulled from the store as well. Could Google Voice be the crack that starts the mighty iPhone dynasty tumbling?
