Gear Diary Reason to Jailbreak #87: GlovePod photo

Using your iPhone with gloved hands is tough.  More often than not I end up having to remove my gloves if I want to access anything on my device.  I’ve tried some of the gloves with specially designed finger tips that are supposed to allow you to use the iPhone’s touch screen without having to remove the gloves but had little success.

Glovepod, which is now available in Cydia for Jailbroken phones, isn’t an app. as much as it is a simple utility which allows you to advance/reverse, pause and play tracks playing on your device’s iPod via the side volume rocker and home button.

Pressing the Volume Down button will go to the previous track and pressing the Volume Up Button will go to the next track. By holding down the power button shortly, you can pause and play your music.  All this is done easily with a gloved hand.

Download the add-on now via Cydia.

I have always had a passion for gear and gadgets. It all started for me with the release of the very first Palm Pilot. I've always had an interest in handheld electronics. From handheld PDAs, to cell phones, Mp3 players, watches and other products, I'm the first person my friends, family and colleagues call when they need advice on tech. I have roots in the online tech. forum community. I served as the Administrator to Howard Forums.com and as a Moderator at both Treo Central.com and Blackberry Forums.net. Under the screen name “lgreenberg” I've amassed 50,000+ postings. I also manage my own YouTube channel under the user name larrygreenberg. I'm always eager to help.
