Gear Diary Project Natal for XBOX 360 gets real, and possibly gets you real tired photo

Microsoft had some interesting products last night showcased during their opening keynote. Most of it unfortunately ended up being products that we have already seen or demoed. Other than the couple of Slate PC’s they introduced, I think Project Natal was one of the highlights of the whole keynote. MS is quite excited about Natal and had a nice demo video to prove it. (Although it would have been more exciting to see Steve Balmer demo is for us.) The motion sensing looks like it tracks really well and produces some pretty fluid motion and control.  MS also claims that it will be hitting the shelves by the Holiday season of this year.

Natal will work with all existing XBOX 360′s  and will cost you under $100. Im gonna assume that they will put this up against Wii’s fit titles for some heavy hitting workouts XBOX style. Since your body is the controller, you may actually get your kids (and husbands) off the couch for a pretty good workout. We’ll keep you updated throughout 2010 on the progress of Natal. For now, you’ll just have to enjoy the video.

I have been a tech fanatic and gadget guru ever since I can remember. I started building computers at a young age and have been doing so ever since. Im a big fan of all things mobile but spend most of my time with Android when it comes to phones and Tablets. I like to spend my free time at the gun range, in the garage, or playing games.

I have seen opinion divided as to whether this (and the PS3 variant) will bury the Wii or only end up as a gimmick (like Sony’s current SixAxis controller)
