There are plenty of cases out there for the iPhone which bill themselves as being made from “carbon fiber.” Few however are the real deal, and most are made from imitation plastic. Such is not the case with the Innopocket CF Formula Series case for the iPhone 3G and 3Gs.
The case, which comes in two color variations (Diamond Black & Exquisite Black) is made from 100% REAL carbon fiber.
Race fans and car enthusiasts will appreciate the Formula series for its “dream car” material while others will simply enjoy the beauty of the carbon fiber pattern and smooth texture it offers.
The case itself comes in rather minimalistic packaging with no included additions. You do not get a screen protector.
The carbon fiber material provides the case with an ultra light feel. Measuring in at only .9mm thick and weighing only 8 grams this case adds virtually no bulk when placed on your phone.
The case installs easily, as most snap back covers do. Once properly seated your phone gets full back protection, except for a cutout where the Apple logo is visible. As with most snap on back covers there is not much shock and impact protection but cases of this type are usually more about protecting the back of your phone.
The chrome of your iPhone is left completely exposed.
There is a very small cutout on the back of the case for the camera lens. It’s one of the smallest cutouts of its type that I’ve seen. It does line up quite well though so taking pictures in not an issue.
All of the iPhone’s buttons and ports are easily accessible when the case is on your phone.

The Innopocket CF Formula Series is an attention grabber for sure. I’ve had two or three people ask me about it (random strangers) while using my phone in a coffee shop and a retail store.) It’s a flat out beautiful looking case that feels great in the hand as well.
While the price is higher than most iPhone cases you get what you pay for. If you want the experience of real carbon fiber this is the case for you.
