While at CES this year, I was lucky enough to talk to our friends over at Gelaskins about the new things they were going to introduce this year. Gelaskins provides stunning protective skins for all types of devices from e-readers to cell phones to laptops; they have plenty of beautiful designs to choose from, as well as the ability to design your own skin.
When I stopped by their booth, I was hoping to find for something for my T-Mobile G1 or maybe my Acer Aspire One netbook. Myself, as well as several others on the Gear Diary team, like the Gelaskins line, as seen in this review by Larry.
Well, I wasn’t disappointed with what they had to tell me, and now it can be announced. Gelaskins has partnered with National Geographic to provide their stunning photos to the Gelaskins line of protective skins.
GelaSkins Inc. (www.GelaSkins.com), a leading provider of high-quality, artist-supported protective covers for mobile devices, releases today their new National Geographic designs, providing a wide range of images from renowned National Geographic photographers for laptop and iPhone skins.
The National Geographic designs include pieces from renowned National Geographic photographers including images of nature, wildlife, human accomplishment, space and sea. Preset designs from each of these catalogs are initially available for laptops and iPhones specifically. The new images will also be available through the Do-It-Yourself service for all GelaSkins’ device templates including mobile phones, gaming devices and more.
“We are honored to offer new designs for mobile technology from National Geographic, the leading photographic company on the market,” said Drew Downs, CEO of GelaSkins, Inc. “This high profile partnership will offer consumers a new variety of professional art, classic designs and top photography to decorate their mobile technology.”
In addition to National Geographic, GelaSkins collaborates with top artists and companies including Dark Horse Comics, Tokidoki, Upper Playground, charity: water and more. These additional designs are available for iPhone, Blackberry, the Kindle, laptops and gaming devices, including Nintendo DSI, DSI Lite, Will, Sony PSP, Guitar Hero, Rock Band and more. All GelaSkins vinyl protective covers are removable using patented 3M adhesive, which prevents air bubbles from forming and allows for easy application. Each GelaSkin will defend devices with a durable anti-scratch, anti-UV coating.

$14.95 and $29.95 based on device. Visit the GelaSkins Web site for more details and to browse the new designs.
