HP has given us a taste of their upcoming slate pc over the past few months with a few videos and some vague details. Meanwhile, Apple’s iPad has a somewhat reliable release date and let most secrets out of the bag about specs and software. One of the things that seems to come up around the web is the iPad’s lack of support for flash.
Even though HP’s lack of info keeps hanging on by a few videos and a CES announcement, we still don’t know too much about it. But today we found out one concrete fact, there will be full Adobe Flash support including Adobe Air.
With this slate product, you’re getting a full Web browsing experience in the palm of your hand. No watered-down Internet, no sacrifices. We just posted a quick video showing some more of what that’s like as well as how the slate device will work as an eBook reader. Enjoy the short clip (and the techno soundtrack
The video really doesn’t really give us too much info on the device, but from the video you can see a full OS and obvious partnership of HP and Adobe. The Photoshop.com demo actually looks pretty cool for on the fly minor editing and cropping. Depending on price and availability, this Slate could give the iPad a run for the money. Hopefully more to come soon. The FCC has yet to give this device their blessing.
