Yesterday Judie and I posted our sad tale of woe after speaking to UPS and both being told that there is no Saturday shipping in our areas. I could understand Judie’s situation since she is in a totally rural area but I am in New Jersey! It didn’t make sense that I would not be included in the Saturday delivery of the iPad. But the UPS customer service rep was specific and clear. And no matter how I asked the question I always got the same response- NO SATURDAY DELIVERY. I even emailed Mr. Jobs to ask about it (twice). I did not hear back.
This morning I decided to give UPS another quick call and double check…
This is what I was told.
Let me check some of the information on here for you
Thank you
No problem
The company specifically said when I ordered it but it delivers on April 3. But I have some questions about whether or not they’re doing Saturday delivery where I am.
What I’m showing here is that if the company informed you that it will be delivering on April 3. Then it will be delivered on Saturday, April 3.
Let me ask you a question about it because I had called UPS yesterday and spoke to someone and, I’m asking the questions a little differently today, but they told me there was absolutely, positively no way that I was going to get Saturday delivery where I am. They said there is no Saturday delivery at my zip code. End of discussion. Was she misinformed?
Yes you are correct. The information that we have here from Apple is that the shipment is being made for delivery on Saturday. Saturday, April 3 is when the packages would be delivered by.
So you will have delivery to my house on April 3 this Saturday?
That is correct.
Okay, I don’t mean to repeat myself but, and I apologize, the person I called yesterday told me that there was no way it was delivering on Saturday. I said to her — is coming from China this is the delivery code is supposed to be delivered on Saturday what’s going to happen? And she said there is no way that you’re getting it this Saturday. Not in your area. And I said, “there’s nothing I can do?” And she said, “none.” So you’re telling me that she was misinformed and she was wrong?
Correct and I’m really sorry about that.
Oh no, nothing to apologize for. I’m very happy. I just want to make sure that she was wrong and you are right.
Yes that’s correct. Based on Apple we are making the exception and we’re having deliveries made for this product this Saturday, April 3. So you will receive this product on Saturday.
Wow, they must have made some deal with your company. (She laughs) They REALLY must have made some deal with your company. (She laughs again). Thanks so much for your help.
