Gear Diary iPad Case News Booq Reveals Boa folio for iPad photo

The folio is, by far, my favorite design for an iPad case. It does exactly what I need it to do and, in the process, protects the iPad when I am on the go. Now Booq has added a new line of cases that brings another folio-stlye option iPad case to market- the Boa folio.

The Boa folio is

The ultimate carrying case for the Apple user, Boa folio can be carried on its own or easily slide into another backpack, bag, or purse. To insure you get the most out of your iPad while on-the-go, booq’s three-position design lets you use the iPad flat across your lap, slightly elevated for comfortable typing, and near vertical for presentations and video viewing. The interior also features a large document pocket and a molded bumper to protect the iPad and hold it securely in place.

The case even has an exterior pocket that can hold your iPhone, iPod or *gasp*, I assume your Android phone. It also had a closing strap to keep the iPad securely inside.

The new Boa folio is $49.95 in nylon and $89.95 in leather. more information is available on the Booq website.

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him.
