Bumper Holster for iPhone 4 Review

iPhone protection is a bit of a double-edged sword for me. Everyone knows I’ve got a bit of an obsession with cases, but truth be told I like my iPhone best naked. Since I often carry my phone in my pants pocket keeping it as slim as possible is important. It is for this reason that I have been using a bumper style case in conjunction with a back skin more than any other combo.

I had been looking for a better way to carry the phone (pants pockets just get to crowded with other stuff) when I came across this holster from HandHelditems over on the Mac Rumors forums. At only $10 I had to give it a try.

The holster, which comes in two flavors, one meant to work with your iPhone while it has a bumper style case on and the other meant to work with just the naked iPhone, is made of strong plastic. The iPhone only version sells for only $5.

The entire inside of the holster is line with protective felt which means your iPhone 4 will be protected no matter which way you choose to insert it, and you can choose either screen in or out. I don’t recommend carrying your phone screen out but if you want the option it’s there.

The belt clip on the back of the holster ratchets almost 360 degrees around which allows you to wear it in either the vertical or horizontal position.

If you’re looking for a fancy way to carry your iPhone 4 this isn’t it. At under $10 how could it be? But this holster simply works. It provides a very functional way to carry your iPhone either in a Bumper style case or naked and in turn frees up your pockets for something else.

You can grab the Bumper version of the holster here and the non-bumper version here.

MSRP: As reviewed $9.99

What I like: Inexpensive, good fit, versions for bumper or no bumper.

What Needs Improvement: Nothing.
