One of the friends we got to hang out with at CES was Johan van Mierlo of MobilityMinded. Johan spent the better part of one evening explaining to me why I NEED to get a Windows Phone 7 handset. Truth be told, it was the first time I had seen and used one up close and I WAS impressed. The platform, while not yet mature, has a lot to offer and feels quite solid.

Well Johan has written up a post listing, Our Wish List for the Windows Phone 7 Update. He notes,

As many sites have reported Microsoft will soon come with the first update for the Windows Phone 7 platform. The Microsoft Windows Phone site even has a special page announcing the upcoming updates. The info on this site is very limited besides the Copy and Paste function we all wanted. Using the Windows Phone 7 now as my main device I do miss some functions. Some little bugs that keep bugging me need some fixing as well. Take a look at our wish list and add yours to ours!

Among the “wants”… Copy and Paste and the ability to “Sync all office documents to Skydrive, not just the Notes”.

Whether you are using a Windows Phone 7 or not, it is a good read and speaks to the need for Microsoft to help the phone platform mature as quickly as possible. If they do WP7 could be a contender!
