As you know, Judie is in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress. It has been a quiet week for her… NOT. She literally hit the ground running and has not stopped. Yesterday she had the chance to preview some of the devices that are coming from HTC in the next months and today… today she got a close look at Samsung’s new barn burners- The Samsung Galaxy S II and the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

The 10.1” (WXGA TFT LCD) Galaxy Tab 10.1 offers a 1280 x 800 display that hopes to go up against the Apple iPad. In addition to its stunning display the GALAXY Tab 10.1 includes dual surround-sound speakers that add to the multi-media experience.
In addition, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 offers an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera that will provide full HD recording. Mix in support for Flash 10.1, Android Honeycomb, a 1GHz Dual Core application processor, low power DDR2 memory and a 6860mAh battery and you have a multimedia powerhouse.
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 weighs 599g and is just 10.9mm thick. The Tab also includes fast HSPA+ 21Mbps, Bluetooth® 2.1+EDR and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n connectivity.
In other words, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is the full package. Judie got to check it out for a while today but we can’t wait to get out hands on it and truly put it through its paces.
Then there is the Samsung Galaxy S II. When Judie first saw it she IMed me “Wow this thing is amazingly thin and… Fast!!!”
The Galaxy S II sports a dual-core application processor and advanced wireless network (HSPA+ 21) connectivity. The dual-core application processor “delivers compelling features such as fast web browsing, multi-tasking comparable to a PC-like environment, supreme graphics quality and instantly responsive 3D user interface on the large screen”. The powerful processor also comes into play when it comes to multitasking, gaming and video.
