Gear Diary Amazon Free App Reminder Does What It Says Amazon Android App Store photo

Ever since it was launched, we have extolled the virtues of the Amazon Android App Store, as well as pointed out a few issues with it. Like it or not, Amazon’s Android App Store has been well-received by Android users, especially since they have a different paid application available for free every day. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get busy. So I don’t check the Amazon App Store every day. Which means I could miss out on such gems as Nuance’s FlexT9 keyboard for free. Well, an enterprising developer came up with a solution for those of us who are too busy or lazy to check the Amazon App Store on a daily basis. As they say, there is “an app for that”.

Amazon Free App Reminder solves this issue by alerting you, at a time of your choosing, what application is available in the Amazon App Store for free daily. The application is simple, but it does exactly what I need it to and does not take up a lot of space and is unobtrusive. I set the time that I want to be alerted, and on a daily basis, it will place a notification which alerts me to the current daily free application.

I like this application because it is inexpensive (and I like to support developers, so I don’t mind the paltry $0.99 price) and it works effectively and does not take up a lot of resources. There are enough options to customize it to your liking, but not too many to be overwhelming. You can, for example, choose from any or all of three types of notifications, including: Vibration, LED, and Sound.

Amazon Free App Reminder is available in the Android Market for $0.99.
