This holiday season product producers are catering to gamers more than ever before. Now, the food industry has jumped into the ring with Gamer Food, based in Santa Monica, California. GamerFood even has their own team; people can join featuring exclusive events/content, playtime with other famous gamers, and, of course, chances to win GamerFood.

Though not limited to video game players (e.g. studying, high mental activities, etc.), this food series has special nutritional properties as well as amusing, attention getting names. Cashews of Chaos  have a nice honey roasted flavor while the Nuts of Destruction offer a unique boost with a kick of rancho chili lime flavor and ginseng. Seeds of Victory have the most protein and least saturated fat. Each package weighs 3.5 oz (98 g) and contains no trans fat. Each food contains lysine and are “infused with caffeine and taurine”. Each serving is one ounce and the suggested retail price is  $32.99 for eight cashew bags (about $4.11 a bag); $25.99 for eight nut bags and $23.99 for eight seed bags.

Real game hints or even suggested gamer “smack talk” comebacks on the packaging would have been a nice addition beyond a simple “engage” text line where the traditional “tear here” instruction is on the bag. The nuts are the best tasting in this food trio while gamers might also need a spittoon or cuspidor when spitting out the seed shells. The decent tasting nuts and seeds can stick on the teeth, especially the nuts, so feel free to wash them down…with an energy drink.

“GamerFood is the snack for hardcore gamers.
