Gear Diary Shop Rite Has Great Deals On ... the Kindle Fire? photo

Shop Rite is my favorite local grocery store. Their meat selection is decent, the prices are good, and the store is convenient. Like all grocery stores they branch out into non-food related sidelines sometimes, but their latest offering is definitely not edible: a Kindle Fire for $179.99.

Apparently this is the next step in grocery store evolution. First they sell magazines, then bestselling books, and now eBook readers! Let’s just hope they don’t bag it next to the brisket at checkout!

Carly has been a gadget fiend for a long time, going back to her first PDA (a Palm M100). She quickly went from researching what PDA to buy to following tech news closely and keeping up with the latest and greatest stuff. She loves writing about ebooks because they combine her two favorite activities; reading anything and everything, and talking about fun new tech toys. What could be better?
