Evernote is now shipping their new Smart Notebooks. They work great with the Evernote Page Camera that is now part of the Evernote iOS app. (We wrote about it here.) The Page Camera lets you capture images of text on a page and optimize it for saving to Evernote. It works great on its own but, when combined with the Smart Notebooks it is truly an impressive way to record and later access information.

I saw the notebooks in person a few weeks ago and was impressed. They are pricey but… quality costs. Plus there is the added benefit of the Smart Stickers.

When placed on a page these special stickers automatically help you sort and organize your notes. The Evernote Smart Notebooks are a great way to mix old-style with new tech. Learn more here on the Evernote website.

And if you want to get the most out of Evernote, then you’ll want to check out Evernote Essentials. The eBook is a must for new Evernote users… and it also has something to teach those who are veteran Evernote users. We are an affiliate, so click here to learn more and to order a copy for yourself or your Evernote loving family member.

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him.
