Gear Diary Epsons Expression® Photo XP 850 Small in One™ Printer Introduced Today photo

It’s great to have today’s digital cameras, isn’t it? It used to be that we’d take pictures using film, and we’d have to hope that through a magical combination of our equipment’s quality and our picture-taking ability, the results would be worthwhile, because we were going to pay the same price for the good shots as we would for the bad. If you wanted copies of your photos, you had to pay a photo processing company to do them; the price for this could add up quickly!

Now we can take all the pictures we want with our phones, digital cameras and other devices, and the photos are saved to our relatively inexpensive flash cards or built-in memory. As long as we have enough space, we can keep taking photos!

We are also able to pick and choose which images (if any) will get printed, but we no longer have to use a service or visit a physical location to get those prints done. How cool is that? We can print our own photos at home, and we can get those same professional results with a minimum of equipment or fuss.

Now that’s what I call progress.

And if you haven’t already got a printer capable of printing high quality images (along with all of your other small office or home office needs), then you might want to take a look at Epson’s newest Expression® Photo XP-850 Small-in-One printer.

I have had a fascination with all types of gadgets and gizmos since I was a child, beginning with the toy robot that my grandmother gave my brother - which I promptly "relieved him of" in 1973. I have long been captivated by devices that did anything interesting or served a unique purpose - however silly. I can't tell you how everything works – but I am known world-wide for using a product until I have a full understanding of what it does, what its limitations are, and if it excels in any given area...or not.

But after someone you know returns from holiday, you now have to sit through slideshows with 100s of photos, instead of flicking through 32. Progress you say?
