Gear Diary Passwords Plus for Android Now Available to Keep You Safe During the Holiday Shopping Rush photo

Back in the day, you maybe only had to deal with one or two passwords–for your ATM, maybe, and maybe for your corporate phone voice mail system.  But now?  Hell, you need a password for practically every web site you go to, it sometimes seems like.  And password security is tricky; you want a good password that’s hard to guess, but at the same time you need one you can remember.  A tough combo.  (For one of my systems for work, I use a randomly generated 64-character key that I store in encrypted format on a thumb drive–that’s security, baby!)  To help you with this, maybe what you need is a password management program, eh?

DataViz, Inc., a leading provider of mobile productivity software, today announced the availability of Passwords Plus® for Android (Tablet-optimized version coming soon at no additional cost). Passwords Plus for Android complements the password security app already available for iPadiPhoneMac, and Windows.

Passwords Plus stores and protects PINs, passwords and other sensitive information while providing automatic synchronization of this data between multiple device platforms.

Key Product Highlights
Passwords Plus keeps information in sync via secure cloud storage and SamePage™ technology. For example, changes made on your phone will automatically appear on any tablet or computer where Passwords Plus 2.0 is installed.

Setup is quick and easy with no need to open a 3rd party cloud account or pay an additional subscription fee to sync, backup, or restore data.

Additional features like ‘Generate Password’ help customers avoid the risk that comes with using “obvious” or “duplicate” passwords for sensitive account information.

‘Self-Destruct’ allows users to configure the app to erase stored data if multiple wrong passwords are attempted, such as in the case of theft.

Pricing & Availability
Android – Passwords Plus is available for Android-powered phones running OS 2.1 or higher and can be purchased via the Google Play Store for $9.99 (Tablet-optimized version coming soon at no additional cost to Passwords Plus for Android customers).
