Gear Diary Ice Riders iOS Game by Sauce Digital photo

Given the popularity of snow boarding, and the acceleration sensitivity of a lot of the smartphones out there, you would think that there would be a lot more games that incorporate snowboarding.  There are a few, definitely, but there seem (to me) to be a heck of a lot more driving games–Sonic Racing, Cro-Mag Rally, seven different flavors of the Asphalt series.  But hey, when it comes to software, frequently all you have to do is wait, right?  And so here is an entry in that category by Sauce Digital:

Sauce Digital has announced that Ice Riders, their latest game for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad has been submitted.

Ice Riders is a stylish and fun snowboard game, with line drawing and physics.

The objective is to draw lines of ice in the direction of various bonuses, then ride three snowboarders down the ice created in an attempt to pick up as many bonuses as possible.

Within each level – a.k.a. grade – there are a selection of bonuses to collect. To grab them, players first draw ice towards them – then race Ice Riders down the brand new frozen track to pick them up.

As players progress, the levels (a.k.a. grades) get harder, with more bonuses in more difficult arrangements.  With some, they will need to perform tricks to pick them up, such as; grabs, 180′s, mid air etc.   Each grade has a required number of points to achieve for progression, whether they are able to reach the target will depend on both their ice drawing and riding skills.

Players can take on individual grades 1-20, or a full campaign with no limit to the grade achievable – how far can you get?!

Features:
* Super fun gameplay
* Universal app
* iPhone 5 support
* Retina iPad support
* Endless campaign mode
* Single Grade mode
* Game Center achievements
* Game Center leaderboards for top scores and highest grade
* Infinite levels to play
* Fab graphics
* Awesome music

You can download this game from the iTunes app store for an MSRP of $0.99.  And if you do, be sure to let us know what you think below!
