For a brief time, in a desperate effort to get my weight down (and against my Doctor’s advice), I tried doing the old C25K, the “couch to 5K” running program. I did okay for a while until I was crippled by bad running shoes, horrific shin splints, and my general dislike of running for running’s sake.
