Gear Diary SGP Slim Armor Case for the iPhone 5 Video Review photo

I’m a fan of SPIGEN SGP’s products. From the GLAS.t screen protector (read the review) to the Hardbook Case for the iPad mini (read the review) their products never fail to impress me. So when our contact at the company emailed me that a new case was on the way and he described it as his favorite  ”my favorite iPhone 5 case” I couldn’t help but be curious. Turns out it is one of my favorite cases thus far as well. Better still, it is a remarkable value. Let’s take a looks at the SGP Slim Armor for iPhone 5.

I like how thin it is.

I like the full protection on the bottom.

I like the metallic look of the mid-section.

And I LOVE the fact that it is priced at under $18. No, this case doesn’t come with a screen protector but for $17.99 the case and three included Jelly Buttons offer exceptional value. It is currently my “daily driver”. You can learn more and order yours here on the product page.

MSRP: $17.99

What I Like: Great price; Good protection that covers pretty much everything but the screen; Includes Jelly Bean Buttons

What Needs Improvement: Doesn’t include a screen protector

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets. Dan’s father brought home one of the very first video games when he was young and Dan remembers seeing a “pre-release” touchtone phone. (When he asked his father what the “#” and “*” buttons were his dad said, “Some day, far in the future, we’ll have some use for them.”) Technology seemed to be in Dan’s blood but at some point he took a different path and ended up in the clergy. His passion for technology and gadgets never left him.
