Gear Diary Sennheiser launches sleek MOMENTUM Black headphones photo

I admit that I’m a sucker for audio equipment.  I have been since I was a kid, honestly; my dad bought an amplifier kit, and assembled the durn thing himself.  I was totally fascinated by all the glowing vacuum tubes and knobs and dials and what-not.  And it only got worse when I moved in with my good buddy Chris, who had what was at the time one of the finest cassette players and turntable that money could buy — his turntable was like those kinds you see in movies where the hero is a mega-audiophile, and has a huge record collection. He also did video disks, but that’s another story.  For all I know, he had a googlephonic stereo with a moon-rock needle.  And even now, he has a really high-quality system with two unbelievably-good speakers, a sub-woofer–the works.  (He built the home-entertainment computer system he uses himself, and set up his full housewide networked audio system.  He’s a genius, honestly.  But I digress.)

These days, my lust in that direction tends to be reserved for things like high-quality speakers, docking stations, and headphones.  I don’t know how this new Sennheiser sounds, but man it’s a pretty thing, isn’t it? MOMENTUM black combines pure design and uncompromising performance with the signature blacks of this season’s fashion collections. So take a moment when you can, and check out the MOMENTUM headphones at Sennheiser.

Doug is a nerd from way back, falling for a Commodore PET at the age of 15, and never looking back. Riding the nerd wave, he got a Computer Science degree and entered the tech industry at a young age, deciding after a year and a half of front-line phone technical support that he should try something, *anything* else. He settled on technical writing, and has been cranking out documentation for companies like Unisys, SGI, Cisco, Juniper, and many others ever since. He is nothing short of ecstatic to be working for H-P from his home base in Austin.
