I’ve probably mentioned before that I’m currently an iPhone guy–I’ve had one literally since the day they came out. But that doesn’t mean I won’t ever get another smartphone, and despite my general antipathy for All Things Windows (ask Francis!), I am very interested in the Windows phones. And I have to say that the Huawei model you see above is a handsome-looking phone. (And no, that’s not my Corgi Isabelle, although she looks a lot like that one!) Despite my very guy-like preference for having my electronics in Flat Black, I do like to see smartphones out there that offer a wider color choice. (Yeah, yeah; you can always get a case that takes care of that, but why not have the phone itself be the color you want, right?)
The new HUAWEI Ascend W1 has a low reflective IPS LCD display with full lamination technology. It will be available in China and Russia from January 2013, with Western Europe, Middle East, USA and other selected countries to follow.
