Gear Diary Find. Eat. Drink. App Puts Culinary Recommendations at Your Fingertips photo

T’was a time–oh, those were the days!–when Sami and I ate out quite a bit.  I liked to take a break from the cafeteria at work some days; we liked to go out for dinner; maybe lunch or brunch on the weekends.  Not every day–don’t get me wrong.  But we enjoyed it.  Now we have kids and eat in more.  But in any event, the more information you can get on prospective eating places the better off you are, right?

Hence this here app: The Find. Eat. Drink. (FED) iPhone App is the world’s first travel guide curated by top-tier chefs, sommeliers, bartenders, baristas, pitmasters and food artisans. (Download the app here) Now, I don’t know if this app is going to be up to the level of plowing through the Michelin guide or (my personal favorite) the Gault-Millau, but it’s certainly easier to just have everything there on your iPhone than what Sami and I did when we were in France, which is juggle multiple maps, books and guides, right?

And remember kids:  ”No cost” means FREE!  So why not download it and check it out?  And if you do, be sure to let us know what you think below!

Riding the nerd wave, he got a Computer Science degree and entered the tech industry at a young age, deciding after a year and a half of front-line phone technical support that he should try something, *anything* else. He settled on technical writing, and has been cranking out documentation for companies like Unisys, SGI, Cisco, Juniper, and many others ever since. He is nothing short of ecstatic to be working for H-P from his home base in Austin.
