Gear Diary Madbits Momentsia New iPhone Photo App photo

As a general rule, I don’t take photos and then fiddle about with them.  I don’t use Photoshop; I don’t print out 8×10 color glossy photos with circles and arrows on the back of each one to use as evidence; I don’t modify photos.  It’s just my nature.  But I’m odd (as we’ve established many times), and there are plenty of people out there who do like to modify their snaps.  My daughter, for example, doesn’t buy cases for her iPhone for function; she wants them to be decoration.  And I can easily imagine her, with her arty POV, to want to take her images and tweak them.  Just, you know, because.  And for such people, there is Momentsia:

Momentsia Top Features Include:

  • Pre-customized “Mondrian” colorful layouts with two to 20 tiles
  • Single shot mode available
  • Infinite color sets
  • Tap anywhere on the screen to capture images with flash or no flash, or populate tiles by importing images directly from the Camera Roll
  • Share Momentsia memories on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, email and Camera Roll
  • Portrait and landscape layouts
  • Ability to use front or back camera
  • Select background frame colors

Sound like fun?  You can download the Madbits Momentsia app from the iTunes app store for an MSRP of $FREE.  And of course be sure to let us know what you think below!

Doug is a nerd from way back, falling for a Commodore PET at the age of 15, and never looking back. Riding the nerd wave, he got a Computer Science degree and entered the tech industry at a young age, deciding after a year and a half of front-line phone technical support that he should try something, *anything* else. He settled on technical writing, and has been cranking out documentation for companies like Unisys, SGI, Cisco, Juniper, and many others ever since. He is nothing short of ecstatic to be working for H-P from his home base in Austin.
