Gear Diary iPhone 5 Security Display Stand Clear Security? photo

iPod Touch & iPhone 5 security display stand

Since I got my iPhone 5, I’ve noticed that I watch a lot more videos on it than I used to.  Previously, I would tend to watch downloaded TV shows on my iPad — the fact that the iPhone screen did not have a 16×9 aspect ratio, and thus a lot of screen real estate didn’t get used, meant that videos were noticeably smaller and so the iPad option was better.  But the iPhone 5 does have that aspect ration, and now unless I’m watching a serious wide-screen video — Lord of the Rings, or Game of Thrones, or “Master and Command”, or something similarly epic — I’m on my iPhone.  Which sometimes means I want it to have a stand.  And if you need a stand for your iPhone, and you want it to be more secure than it would be using, say, a couple of business cards to hold it up, maybe you want something like this new security display stand.

The new iPhone 5 iPod Touch security stand is made entirely out of acrylic, it has tamper-proof screws to lock the frame down so that it is more secure, and it has adhesive strips to stick it to the appropriate surface.  You have full access to the touch screen of course.  This is just the kind of stand that is helpful for retail sales, trade shows, conferences, and stuff like that there.

So if you’ve been watching a lot more movies or TV on your iPhone, or using it as an entry device more often than you used to, maybe this is something you’d use.  The security stand is available for an MSRP of $59.95 at the NewPCGadgets web site; surf on over and take a look.  And if you get yourself one, be sure to let us know what you think below!
