Graft Concept Leverage i5 for iPhone 5

I recently received the Graft Concept Leverage i5 for iPhone 5 that I had preordered some time ago. I waited patiently for the case to arrive and, now that it has, I can honestly say it was worth the wait. The Graft Concept Leverage i5 for iPhone 5 is easy to put on and remove from the iPhone, offers decent protection and, thanks to the unusual methods of securing the case on the phone, it is unique. It is not, however, without its shortcomings. Lets take a closer look on video and then discuss my one area of concern.

As you can see, the Graft Concept Leverage i5 for iPhone 5 is a neat take on the traditional bumper-style iPhone case. I love the way the bumper easily wraps around the iPhone and then locks in place using the silver lever and clip.

I also love the fact that the lever design of the Graft Concept Leverage i5 for iPhone 5 is not only functional, but it also adds visual interest to an otherwise bland design. Add in the protective back plate and the ability to option it out with various other offerings such as the forthcoming wallet-back, and you have a case that looks good, is easy to use, and adds serious functionality.

This is what the wallet back for the Graft Concept Leverage i5 for iPhone 5 will look like. It was supposed to ship at the same time as the case, but there have been some delays. The company was upfront about it and apologized; delays happen with new products, and I really appreciate when companies don’t make up stories or excuses.

I really like the Graft Concept Leverage i5 for iPhone 5. The bumper design offers complete protection of the back, top and sides of the phone while also adding a good amount of lay-on-the-table protection. Adding the included back plate adds even more protection. And, as previously mentioned, I really like the interest that is added thanks to the silver lever mechanism.

My only issue with the Graft Concept Leverage i5 for iPhone 5 is the sharp edge at the bottom of the locking mechanism. At times it does not seat perfectly flush with the case itself. The result is a sharp edge that runs counter to the clean lines of the case. This isn’t a reason not to buy the case, but it is enough to give me pause when recommending the Graft Concept Leverage i5 for iPhone 5.

MSRP: $49.95

What I Like: Easy to put on and remove from the iPhone; Good protection; Back plate adds protection and can be swapped out for the upcoming wallet back plate

What Needs Improvement: If the lever does not seat perfectly, there is a sharp edge on the side of the case
