Questia Research Library Mobile Access iOS App

One of the greatest boons to education is, in my opinion, the Internet and the Web.  Information that was once hard (or even impossible) to find is now easily accessible.  The ability to access almost any information from hundreds or even thousands of miles away is an incalculable aid to learning.  Instead of having to stop your writing and spend hours at a library, combing through card catalogues or microfiche, you can just do a google search.  It’s amazing, really.

That is, if you have some way to wade through the vast ocean of information, some way to filter things and find what it is you want.  Google is an awesome tool, no doubt, but there are times when you need a bit more of a focused effort, and bit finer-grained tool.  That is what the Questia research tool wants to help you with.  And now Questia has re-released their tool with enhanced capabilities, to (one hopes) make your researching life even easier.

Do a lot of research, or maybe you just like to have better access to the research information that this kind of app gives you?  Surf on over and check it out; Questia is available via the iTunes app store for Doug’s Favorite price (i.e, Free).  And if you get if for yourself and give it a try, be sure to let us know what you think below!

Doug is a nerd from way back, falling for a Commodore PET at the age of 15, and never looking back. Riding the nerd wave, he got a Computer Science degree and entered the tech industry at a young age, deciding after a year and a half of front-line phone technical support that he should try something, *anything* else. He settled on technical writing, and has been cranking out documentation for companies like Unisys, SGI, Cisco, Juniper, and many others ever since. He is nothing short of ecstatic to be working for H-P from his home base in Austin.
