Jabra Style Bluetooth Headset

When creating the Jabra Style, the company was looking for something that would look great, fit comfortably and be easy to use. They have pretty much achieved that with the Jabra Style, and the fact that they have been able to keep the price under $50 is impressive. As you will see in the video, the headset has a minimum of buttons and controls. Instead, it features automatic volume adjustment and spoken battery and connection status. Here’s a closer look.

Features:

Stylished brushed steel design

On/off slider for intuitive handling

Automatic volume adjustment

Spoken battery and connection status updates

NFC technology for easy pairing

HD Voice* for exceptional call quality

Wear it all day with the transparent earhook or ergonomically designed Eargels

Stream music, podcasts or GPS directions

Up to 6 hours talk time

Jabra Style Bluetooth Headset

Jabra was clear about what they hoped to accomplish with the Style. As they note:

The sophisticated design of Jabra Style stands out with its simplicity but never clashes with your personal style. The headset is remarkably lightweight with a brushed metal surface and small enough to not seem too flashy while sitting on your ear.

I like the way the headset looks, and the fact that it is easy to use is a nice bonus. I should note that when I first used it, I forgot about the whole simplicity thing and went searching for the volume controls. Only then did I remember … there are none. This headset adjusts automatically. There is, in fact, just one button on this headset that is used for most tasks, while the volume and background noise are addressed by the headset itself.

For flexibility, the headset can be used with the included ear hook, or you can swap out the ear gel and use the headset without it. It all depends on what is more comfortable to you.

I had a wedding in the city yesterday, so I grabbed my review sample and used it while driving in, walking around, and waiting to begin. I found it to work well and be comfortable. The Jabra Style is a good headset, and the company made the right choices in how to streamline the device to make it simple to use and wear. If you want to control your audio from your headset (play pause etc), this won’t be the right headset for you. If, on the other hand you are looking for a headset that is easy to use, sounds good, looks nice, and is under $50, then you will love the Jabra Style. Check it out here.

MSRP: $49

What I Like: Stylish; Simple to use; Sounds good; Use with or without the ear hook; Under $50

What Needs Improvement: No ability to control your music from the headset
