In big news that is not entirely unexpected the New York Times is bringing word that Microsoft is planning to purchase Nokia’s handset and services unit. The deal will cost MS more than $7.1 Billion but with Nokia handsets ruling the Windows Phone world these days it makes perfect sense. Read it.

  1. All the folks who thought Elop was a Trojan horse for Microsoft have probably lost their voices from shouting “I told you so!”

    • Yes yes…I think I might have been one of them.

      I am extremely disappointed in Nokia. They had great phones even during the Series 60 stuff. The camera on the N85 is still one of the best thanks to that lens. Then the 1020?? If it didn’t run Windows Phone 8 I would be all over it.
