The Boost Mobile Warp 4G

If you are considering a prepaid mobile plan, and you are interested in keeping your hardware costs down, but you don’t want a budget phone, then Boost Mobile has some news that should pique your interest. Today they are releasing the Boost Warp 4G LTE, their $199.99 Android-powered smartphone that has a 4.5″ display and an 8 megapixel camera.

The Boost Warp 4G comes with

•       Android™ 4.1, Jelly Bean OS

•       Dual Mode 3G/4G LTE

•       4.5inch HD IPS touchscreen display with durable glass

•       8-megapixel camera with 1-megapixel front-facing camera

•       1.2GHZ dual core processor

•       Wi-Fi & GPS enabled

•       Stereo Bluetooth 4.0

•       Visual Voicemail

•       Services: Boost Zone, Mobile ID, Google Mobile Apps

Boost uses the Sprint network, which offers 4G LTE in 185 markets. Perhaps most interesting to me was that the Boost Warp 4G is eligible for Boost Mobile’s $55 Android Monthly Unlimited plan with Shrinking Payments.

For every six on-time payments, the cost of Boost Mobile’s Monthly Unlimited plan shrinks by $5, eventually getting down to as low as $40 a month for unlimited nationwide talk, text and picture messaging, Web, email and calls to 411. Payments do not need to be consecutive to qualify for the next savings milestone.

I use an AT&T family plan, and I have atrocious monthly cellular bills which I always pay on time. Why isn’t AT&T offering to make my bill lower based on my excellent payment history? It hardly seems fair to me. But I digress.

If  the Boost Warp 4G sounds good to you, then you can get one at your neighborhood Boost Mobile retail stores, select independent wireless dealer locations nationwide, or at www.boostmobile.com/warp4G. They’ll even throw in free shipping.
