Breathometer - the Smartphone Breathalyzer

Breathometer – the Smartphone Breathalyzer

We can debate whether it’s a good idea to base a decision about driving on a smartphone app and accessory, it’s better than just saying ‘I feel fine’ and getting behind the wheel. Breathometer is a device that plugs into your smartphone and measures your blood alcohol concentration quickly and easily. And the product will be on Shark Tank 9/27!

Here is the description:
Small enough to fit on a key chain, Breathometer, which is officially registered with the FDA, plugs into a smartphone audio jack, and together with a mobile app, transforms it into a sleek, portable and accurate breathalyzer measuring blood alcohol concentration (BAC).

Breathometer is set to start shipping in October for $49.99 and will pair up with an app for iOS and Android devices.

As noted, the product is going to be featured on Shark Tank. Here is the description: Will Shark Tank’s Mark Cuban blow his chance at getting a deal with Breathometer?

In our exclusive look at Friday’s episode (9/8c, ABC), a Silicon Valley entrepreneur presents his breathalyzer app that combines a device with your smartphone in order to read alcohol levels. Cuban makes an aggressive offer almost immediately, but when he doesn’t let Lori Greiner in on the deal it seems the other sharks are ready to bite.

  1. Can’t someone figure out how to eliminate the need for then straw ?

    • Did you watch the show? They have a breath input port, not a straw.

And the show was pretty amazing – he asked for $250k for 10% and walked away with ALL 5 SHARKS combining for $1 million for 30% equity (with Mark Cuban giving 500k for 15%)

    • David- Clearly you asked a question initially to which you believe you have the answer. Why not just share the information here since that was the opening you were clearly looking for? We’re interested and willing to learn about it.

  2. Its still breath based….breathalizer…straw or no straw…germs etc for multiple use scenario…Mr Cuban knows about our product but our patents are airtight.

  3. Sure give me mobile number to ring
