Speck’s GemShell for iPhone 5C is a “Crystal-clear, protective iPhone 5C case that shows off the brilliant design of your iPhone”. This case is less than $30, offers good drop and scratch protection, and lets the color of the iPhone 5C shine through. If you want protection that doesn’t hide your phone this case may be for you. Get it.

The Speck GemShell is a simple idea that fits perfectly with the approach Apple has taken with the iPhone 5C. By stressing the fun and colorful aspects of the device, Apple has helped avoid having too much focus on the fact that the iPhone 5C is actually the iPhone 5 in a less expensive plastic shell. And while Apple’s own iPhone 5C case lets the color come through by leaving circular parts of the phone completely exposed, this clear case offers protection without holes. It really does, “put your device’s sleek colorful body front and center with a see-through finish that lets its design shine through”. In addtion it adds a bit of grip to an otherwise slippery phone.

See-through style.

  • A crystal-clear iPhone 5c case shows off your iPhone’s sleek, colorful body.
  • A Glossy one-piece shell.

  • Rubberized covers that shield buttons while keeping them fully accessible.

A simple case, the GemShell is a great option for your new iPhone 5C. It isn’t the most protective case we have seen, but it is far better than carrying your iPhone 5C unprotected. Get it.
