After CES 2013 Judie reviewed the monCarbone Peak for the iPhone 5/5S. I just reviewed the monCarbone Hovercoat for the iPhone 5/5S. Now we are giving one of each away. To enter to win just follow the Rafflecopter instructions below. We’ll announce the winners in the next Gear Diary Newsletter and they’ll have 5 days to claim their prize.
Here’s what Judie had to say about the monCarbone Peak for the iPhone 5:
The Peak may not be the most protective case available, I can’t imagine using it while hiking or carrying it to a job site and expecting it to survive a nasty fall or a crushing blow … however! The Peak does offer solid corner protection that should be sufficient for most corner drops, and it is dressy enough that it would look great on an evening out.
And here’s my take on the monCarbone Hovercoat:
The monCarbone Hovercoat is more akin to a carbon fiber skin than anything else. Like a skin, the Hovercoat protects theiPhone from being scratched. Like a skin, the Hovercoat adds virtually no weight to the phone. And, like a skin, the Hovercoat will do little to help protect your iPhone in the event you drop it. Unlike a skin the monCarbone Hovercoat isn’t some cheap decal you slap on your phone. Yes, the monCarbone isn’t super-protective but it is totally awesome.
Yes, if you are looking for a case that will protect your iPhone 5/5S from drops and bumps, these may not be the best case option for you. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a case that will turn heads you definitely want to check out these cases from monCarbone.
And just for fun… why don’t we throw in the monCarbone iPad case we also reviewed after CES. It is also light and gorgeous and… up for grabs.
Here’s your chance to win one of them…
