I am a huge fan of sports, whether it’s watching professionals or playing myself. When the weather is right, I love playing tennis with friends. Unfortunately, I get too into the game itself and forget to keep score. Now, there’s a Score Band on my wrist to keep track for me; Score Band sells for $24.99.

The Score Band is a really simple, yet useful device. It’s an LCD watch that has two rows of display, and these two rows are for a reason. There are three buttons on the watch, one on the top of the display, one on the bottom of the display, and one on the side of the watch. Most of the watch, including the wristband, is made from a stretchy silicone material that is not tight like a normal watch and is comfortable while wearing. The Score Band is water-resistant, not water proof, so don’t try to swim with it. The Score Band is also infused with negative ion minerals, which some say will improve blood circulation and increase energy and power.

The two LCD rows are used for a simple reason: When scoring during a game, one players score is on the top of the watch, and the other players score is on the bottom of the watch. The button on the top of the LCD display advances the top score and the button under the LCD display advances the bottom score. Crazy simple. The button on the side of the watch is used to switch between the watch’s four modes: Time, Allscore, Golf, and Tennis.

The timing mode is obvious, it shows the hour on top of the display and the minute on the bottom. Allscore mode is a mode that you can use to simply count the score for two different players in a variety of games. When you hit one of the scoring buttons, the number advances by one, so it simply counts from 1-99. This can be used for scoring games like shuffleboard, counting pitches in baseball, a lap counter while running, etc. The Allscore mode is meant to be a multipurpose counter for anything you encounter.
Score Band tennis mode
Tennis mode is used to score tennis matches. It scores as follows: love, 15, 30, 40, deuce, advantage. Then once a game is won, it will show how many games each player has won. Very smart and easy to use! Golf mode is used to track strokes per hole and strokes per round. You click the top button of the watch after each stroke; when you finish the hole, you hold the bottom button for three seconds to add the hole score to your round score, which will reset the hole score so that you’re ready for the next hole. Then, you’ll see the hole score added into your round score. It’s really an incredibly simple way to keep track of your round. You might still want to keep a physical scorecard so that at the end of the round you know what you shot on each hole.

The Score Band is a really simple solution to a pretty common need, an easy way to keep score during competitions. Yes, there are smartphone apps that can keep score for you, but are you going to whip out your phone during a tennis match? I don’t think so. The Score Band is a terrific way to keep track of your score on the fly, since it’s just sitting on your wrist already. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone who plays sports or simply needs to count or keep track of anything on a regular basis. The Score Band comes in white or black, with button color choices including; grey, green, berry, orange, or pink.
