Xbox One Unboxing Video – Day One Edition with SWAG!

1-Gear Diary Xbox One UnboxingI preordered my Xbox One Day One edition months ago. I got to my local Best Buy around 7pm last night, expecting to wait in a long line. Although there was a long line of people who hadn’t preordered, I was the first preorder in line and the first customer at that Best Buy to purchase an Xbox One.

Almost everything that comes in the box.

I won’t lie and tell you that I’m not just a little bit proud of the fact that I was the first Xbox One purchase at my local Best Buy;  I even got a little Xbox One swag for my trouble!  I took some time when I got home to film my unboxing of the Xbox One; you can check that out below.

The swag bag, including Xbox One drawstring bag, Xbox One tshirt, Xbox One beanie, and Xbox One/Forza 5 Keychain.

Also, be sure to stay tuned to Gear Diary for my full review of the Xbox One once I have some time to spend with it.

  1. […] As I said, a console is an ever-evolving platform, and it is never a “finished product.”  For instance, the graphics of a launch title will always look much worse than a game released years after the console is introduced.  This can be seen in the difference between games like Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland, released in 2005, and Battlefield 3, released in 2011.  The hardware inside the Xbox 360 remained unchanged, but the game developers learned how to best take advantage of the processing horsepower the console offered.  Although the graphics on the Xbox One launch titles really is impressive, they aren’t a huge leap from the later games of the previous generation of consoles.  If you haven’t yet, check out my Xbox One Unboxing, here.
