The Element Case Soft-Tec Wallet for Apple iPhone 5C is a great way to carry and protect your iPhone 5C and ditch the wallet. Simple in its design, the case is as elegant as it is functional. It adds minimal bulk to the phone and lets the color shine through at the top. Plus, it looks great.

The Element Case Soft-Tec Wallet for Apple iPhone 5c is a rather simple accessory. A polycarbonate shell that holds the phone tight, synthetic suede that protects the screen, and a cover of Element Case’s Tech Grip material that protects and adds grip when the phone is not in use. As an added bonus, the case can double as a stand for hands-free viewing. I love the fact that it is simple to put the phone into the case and just as easy to remove it.

Description:

This new category of protective cases from Element Case represents portability, functionality and exclusive high tech materials in sleek folding designs. The outer Tech Grip™ material features a non-slip synthetic coating to ensure a firm grip and an overall enhanced ergonomic experience with your portable device. The inside is lined with plush synthetic suede to protect the touchscreen. A high impact polycarbonate shell holds the device in the case and is coated in a black rubber tone satin finish to enhance the high tech look and feel.

The Case Features:

  • Slim, lightweight design
  • Durable Tech-Grip covering
  • Plush synthetic suede interior
  • ID/Currency/Card Slots
  • Stand for adjustable viewing angle
  • Easy access to buttons and jacks
  • Camera lens opening

Many wallet-style cases have extra snaps or straps to secure the cover closed. This doesn’t, and I appreciate that fact. Other times the mechanism for securing the phone in place is something akin to a frame into which the phone slides. This system works fine, but results in an addition layer of material and adds to the thickness and overall bulkiness of the case. The awesome TwelveSouth BookBook for iPhone takes this approach.

The Element Case Soft-Tec Wallet for Apple iPhone 5C uses a polycarbonate snap-in case. The result is a thinner, more refined look and feel, and I love it. Element Case even got the cased slot right —  cards slide in from the side, so there is close to zero contact between the edge of your credit card or license and the phone’s screen! Add in the fact that the iPhone 5C version of the Soft-Tec Wallet is just $39.95, and you have a case that will let you travel light this spring! Get yours here.

MSRP: $39.95

What I Like: Thin and light; Slots for cards lets you dump your wallet; Offers nice protection; Material used adds grip

What Needs Improvement: Holds a finite number of cards and the “Coin” electronic card is not yet available
