I love my HTC One M8; the Boomsound speakers, sharp screen, fast processor, and excellent Sense UI skin all make for a fabulous experience. If you’re looking for a similar phone on prepaid services at a reasonable price, then you should check out the new HTC Desire 610 and 816!

The 610 has a 4.5″ screen, while the 816 has a 5.5″ screen. You can pick up the 610 off contract, or buy it as an AT&T GoPhone for only $199. The 816 will be available from Virgin Mobile for only $299. Both prices are fantastic for phones that cram in so many of the high points of the One M8. While you are giving up the metal body and a slightly better processor, you do pick up traditional cameras in place of the much-debated “Ultrapixel” that the One offers, so that’s a fair trade for many people.

If you use or want to use a prepaid carrier and are looking for a solid Android device, the new Desire family should be at the top of your list!
