Fallout 4 is Happening and it’ll be a Beautiful Nuclear Wasteland

After 24 hours of teasing, Bethesda Game Studios announced the long-awaited fourth installment of the Fallout video game franchise ahead of the full reveal at E3. Fallout 4 takes place in, you guessed it, an open-world post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland…but this time, it appears to be in post-nuclear fallout Boston! Fallout 4 will be released on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Bard’s Tale IV on Kickstarter-Free Games for 24hrs!

I’d planned to write about the launch of The Bard’s Tale IV on Kickstarter anyway, but today I’ve learned of an incentive that makes it a ‘must pledge’ recommendation! InXile Entertainment announced that backers in the first 24 hours of the campaign will receive a free copy of Wasteland 2, CD Projekt’s The Witcher, or Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings.

G5’s Inbetween Land Is FREE on All Platforms This Week!

When I reviewed Inbetween Land for iPad more than two years ago, I echoed sentiments from the Mac review-it was a game I liked but did not love, a fun experience that didn’t match the quality of other G5 releases. But it is still a solid and fun game, and this week it is FREE on all platforms!

Announcing Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition Including PS4 & XBOX One

One of my favorite games of 2014 was Divinity: Original Sin from Larian Studios. The game from the Divine Divinity studio brings in all of the elements of classic RPGs while also featuring drop-in/out multiplayer, cross-platform interaction, cloud saves and other modern features. Now they have announced an Enhanced Edition of the game including ports to PS4 and XBOX One!

Mistakes Handled Correctly-Why I Love GreenManGaming

This week ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’ was released, with over 1.5 million pre-orders! I pre-ordered mine through a favorite site – GreenManGaming. The main reason I love GreenManGaming? They offer a better pre-order discount than GoG.com, Steam, and other sources. There was an issue getting keys on time, but how GreenManGaming handled it made me even more loyal!

Valve Introduces Minimum Payment to Unlock Features to Fight Steam Fraud

There are many variations on the common phrase, but the sentiment remains the same: you know you’ve made it when you find yourself fighting fraud in absolutely trivial areas. Steam, the online gaming service, has found itself increasingly dealing with phishing and fraudulent activities in the social areas of their service – and now they are taking action.

Also a variety of enemies, weapons, locations and hazards, and tools to craft! Now Radiation Island is available on Mac for just $2.99!

Hiveswap Episodic Adventure Game Annouced, Check Out the Trailer!

A few years ago my son and his friends were really into the webcomic Homestuck, a quirky adventure created initially in MS Paint that became quite the sensation based on the characters, setting, humor, stories and imaginative variations. Developer Pumpkin Studios captures that feeling in Hiveswap, an upcoming adventure game out this summer. Check out the teaser trailer!

‘Legend of Dungeon’ Launching Free Expansion and Massive Update!

One of the funniest and most quirky indie games I have played in recent years was Legend of Dungeon, which was cute and punishing all at once. The game grew out of a successful 2012 Kickstarter effort and launched in late 2013. Now they are returning with a FREE expansion to the game with a ton of new features! Check out the updated trailer for the game: The expansion is called Legend Heroes and it has two kickass things going for it: it’s free, and it’s awesome! Legends Heroes adds in a pile of new content, like cowboys and chickens…

Game Developer Harmonix has announced the next installment in their long-running Rock Band music/rhythm game series for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (no plans for a Wii U release) with more details in May and a late 2015 targeted release date. Rock Band fans can also expect single-player and multiplayer game modes and a huge song catalog (free and paid) along with backward compatibility with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 guitar and drum controllers. New music peripherals for this latest installment are also planned.
