Scosche soundKASE Review

If you are going to go jogging, nothing beats using the current generation iPod shuffle. It is small, light, has a built-in clip and holds a good amount of music. It works great.

Sometimes, though, you just don’t want to use any device other than your iPhone or iPod touch. Sure, it is rather sizable and weighs a whole heck of a lot more than a shuffle. But then again, the shuffle won’t let you make calls or listen to internet radio the way you can from your iPhone, or carry 32GB of music or podcasts the way you can on the touch. For such times there’s the new Scosche soundKASE. Let’s take a look.

From Scosche-

[The soundKASE is a]lightweight neoprene case with adjustable armband, reflective accents and key slot for iPhone 3GS, iphone 3G, iPhone, iPod touch (Gen 2), iPod touch.

The soundKASE is a light-weight, flexible arm-band that holds any generation iPhone securely while moving during exersize or, for that matter, any activity.

It offers complete protect including the screen while still allowing you to still have complete, albeit less sensitive, control over the touchscreen.

The iPhone or touch slips easily into the specially designed pocket and, once inside, is held securely.

Two reinforced holes allow the headphone’s to pass through. As you can see in the above image, it is also fully washable- nice since it is designed for active use.

Here’s the soundKASE on Elana’s arm. As you can see it is pretty large on her, but it doesn’t overwhelm her arm.

It is held quite securely but is still comfortable to wear. The slot in the upper right is perfect for carrying a house key.

In all, this is a good product for securely carrying an iPhone or touch during physical movement. In fact, it is an especially great way to to carry the iPhone all the time under a coat, etc..

What I Like-
Well designed, does exactly what it says it does, fits all sized arms. It is a great way to carry an iPhone or touch somewhere other than your pocket or belt.

What News Improvement-
I’ve never been a huge fan of intentionally misspelling words like CASE. 🙂

The Scosche soundKASE is available from Scosche for an MSRP of $24.99.
