Tattoo Mania for iPhone OS Review

IMG_0119

Handy Game’s Tattoo Mania puts you in the seat of a tattoo artist in charge of your very own tattoo shop.

Every tattoo you paint on your customers earns you points.  The faster and more precise you are the more points you earn.

But watch out.  Everyone has their own pain threshold and if you exceed it you might find your shop quickly out of business.

Let’s take a look at the game.

You start the game by hoping off your chopper and entering the shop.

Your customers line up along the right side of the screen waiting for your expertise with the tattoo gun.

You have to work quickly but efficiently to keep your client base.

To start working on a customer you drag them from the right side of the screen into the middle.

Remember to start with the impatient ones first or they’ll bolt.

Using your finger you fill in the tattoo by painting the black color inside the lines.

There are several tattoo templates which appear in various locations on your clients bodies.

Some are large are require you to scroll around the screen.

When you’re finished a design you move on to the next customer.

As you move through the game more customers appear, the designs get more challenging and the game pace quickens.

The game features hard core rock and roll to keep you occupied while you play.  The graphics are decent but the game is somewhat repetitive.  I’d also like to see color tattoos added to the game as well.  For now all the ink work is done in black.

Still if you’re into tattoos but don’t have the training to do the real thing give Tattoo Mania a try.  A free lite version is available.

Tattoo Mania is available in the iTunes App Store.

M.S.R.P. – $3.99

What I like – decent graphics, smooth gameplay.

What I don’t like – can be repetitive, over-priced at $3.99
