Shock One- Elana agreed to give up her Palm Centro and try a Blackberry
Shock Two- She “loves it”!! and would not go back to the Centro now
Shock Three- My wife who hates using a case has found one she LOVES thanks to iSkin.

She seriously loves the iSkin Vibes case I was sent for her to try and review so here’s a look at the iSkin Vibes for Blackberry Curve 8900 and Bold.

From iSkin

Enjoy a sizzling style makeover and get amazing protection for your beloved BlackBerry® Curve™ 8900, with the dazzling Vibes and Vibes FX!

The iSkin Vibes and Vibes FX feature a soft, flexible and low-profile protective suit that gracefully hugs your device’s subtle dimensions, and adds an energizing burst of high-gloss color.

You’ll experience the powerful shock absorption of a hard case, but with the fashionably sleek, smooth aesthetics of a soft case.

And for an extra layer of chic style, the iSkin Vibes FX’s BodyGuard adds an embossed designer pattern, and a unique mirror film.

The iSkin Vibes case for Blackberry is a one-piece solution that simply and easily pulls on (and off) the device.

It wraps the sides and tops edges, along with the entire back, in an excellent layer of protection.

The back also protects the flash and the camera while still allowing them to fully function.

The side with the charging and headphone posts is also covered. The ports are protected but still accessible.

The “convenience” buttons are protected and, while still accessible, are a bit more difficult to use while in the case. It isn’t a big issue but is something worth being aware of prior to purchase.

This is the first case Elana has ever been super enthused about. Perhaps even more significant, she reports that there is rarely a day that goes by that someone doesn’t ask about the case.

There is also a version for the Blackberry Bold

It has a similar style and fit.

There is position of the flash lets the clear section be a bit less pronounced.

As is the case with the 8900 Vibes, the side convenience buttons are covered but still usable.

Personally, I find the plugs covering the headphone jack and sync/charge port to be a bit annoying.

The iSkin Vibes and Vibes FX are available directly from iSkin.

The Vibes for the Blackberry 8900 has an MSRP of $29.99. The Vibes FX has an MSRP of $32.99.

The Vibes for the Blackberry Bold has ann MSRP of $29.99.

What I/we like- good protection, nice color choices, doesn’t add much bulk or weight

What Needs Improvement- I’m not a huge fan of the covered ports. Elana doesn’t seem to mind them.
