Sennheiser MM400

The other day I was having lunch with a good friend. He enjoys his gadgets as much as the rest of us and was excited to tell me about this latest acquisition. He had purchased a pair of Sennheiser MM400 Bluetooth stereo headphones and couldn’t stop raving about them. At a cost of over $260 they were bit on the pricey side but he kept talking about them so positively that I finally said I would need to go check them out. “Hold on a minute” he said and he ran out to the car. He brought them back into the restaurant for me to have a look and… well, wow.

As it turns out there was good reason for him to be raving about these headphones. They are exceptionally comfortable, sound superb and seem to have the ability to create and hold a Bluetooth connection far better than most Bluetooth devices I have tried. Moreover, they have an neat little design feature that lets you use them while flying even when the flight attendants demand that all devices with radios be turned off. They can even be used as a headset for your cellphone!

In the end I picked up a pair. I have been using them for a few days now and am quite happy with my purchase. Let’s take a look —

What I like —

They are exceptionally comfortable and sound great, the ability to use them as a Bluetooth headset for your cell phone is a nice addition, the ability to turn them into a wired headset is not only smart but will come in handy when were on a plane tomorrow

What needs improvement —

They are pricey, no doubt about that

The Sennheiser MM400 are available from Apple for $269.95.
