Free Word Warp for iPhone/Touch

I will admit it…I have become a word game junkie on my iPhone!!  It is a sad state of affairs, but lately, my spare time has been spent playing a number of word games.  The latest addiction is Free Word Warp.  If you have played the flash game text twist on your computer then Word Warp will seem familiar.  Lets take a quick look.

Word Warp is a simple game.  Six letters are provided in which the player must spell as many words as possible before time runs out.  Points are awarded for each word spelled, but in order to advance to the next level, a six letter word must be spelled.  Sounds simple does it not?

To spell a word, simply click on the letters one at a time to put them into the above squares.  When the word is ready, click “Got It.”  A tone will signify a correct word and points will be rewarded.  If the word is not correct the letters will jump back to their original position after a click sound.  Possible words with spaces for the number of letters is found at the top as a guide in finishing each level.  Remember that no matter how many words are spelled, the six letter word must be found before advancing.  I would like the levels to have a point threshold or six letter spelling to be passed.

If the words are not being seen or very few words are left, click “Warp” to shuffle the order of the letters.  By seeing the letters in a new order, new words might be seen.  On games where the six letter word seems to be elusive, I tend to warp many times trying to see the letters in different order and possibly advance to the next level.

If the default game does not look pleasing, change the theme.  My favorite is the classic theme with animations turned on.

The game is simple, yet conquering the levels can be a daunting task.  Free Word Warp is an ad supported version of the paid Word Warp game.  Check it out here in the app store for FREE!

What I like: It is a word game, what is not to like!?!

What could use improvement: I would like to see points play more of a role in each level.  I also do not like how letters go back to the original position when a letter is missed, but stay in the spelled order when a correct word is chosen.
