eWallet for Mac OS X Now Available

I am a huge fan of Ilium software’s eWallet for the iPhone and iPad. It is a great way to keep information on my handheld devices in a manner that is safe and secure but also quickly accessible. The only problem I have had with it is that the desktop version of eWallet was only in Beta and the sync functionality was highly limited. Since I use multiple devices that was a bit of an issue for me. Thankfully that is no longer the case.

Ilium has just gone live with the news that eWallet for Mac OS X is now available from their Web site. I’ve been using it for the last day and can tell you that it is awesome. The sync is quick and easy to setup and use and it works just as you would expect… seamlessly.

Ilium even offers a great way to use the application on multiple platforms. As they explain

If you never added eWallet for these other platforms, you can get it for just $19.95. One purchase lets you use eWallet on Mac, Windows PC, Windows Mobile, and BlackBerry. You can also use our free eWallet Viewer for Android to sync with eWallet for Windows.

Unfortunately due to Apple’s App store policy

eWallet for iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) is still a separate purchase available through the iTunes App Store, but it is fully compatible with eWallet for Mac. Using Wi-Fi you can quickly synchronize data between your Mac and your iOS device.

Even better news… the Ilium blog post announcing eWallet for OS X indicates they are already hard at work on an update.
