There are plenty of “artsy” cases for the iPhone 3G/3Gs and it’s only a matter of time before we start seeing our fair share for the iPhone 4. I only hope that the cases that are to come are as cool as the ones I just received from izozi.com
The company takes the work of real-world artists and slaps it onto the back of their cases. The iPhone 4 case is made from a high-quality thermoplastic and features and anti-scratch, anti-glare polycarbonate window where the artwork shines through. The case reminds me of a cross between the Incase Frame case and the Griffin Reveal.

I personally love the look that a printed protective skin allow for. However, what I don’t like is the amount of protection, or lack there of, that a sticker type skin provides. No to mention that although removable and reposition-able a certain amount of times these sticker skins don’t last forever. The izozzi cases on the other hand provide for a similar look as a printed skin but with WAY more protection and in case form, which means it’ll last forever.
The cases themselves snap on to the iPhone quite easily. The lip of the case just fringes onto the glass of the iPhone providing some “lay-on-the-table” design.
You’ll find cutouts all in the right places starting with one large cutout on the back for the camera and flash.
One large cutout on the bottom for the speaker, microphone an 30-pin dock connector.
A cutout on the side for the vibrate switch and one covered bump for the volume buttons. I tested the up and down volume buttons repeatedly even though it’s only one covered button for two they worked every time. You’ll also notice to the two textured grip points which have been placed on either side of the case.
Across the top there’s an ample cutout for the headset jack and secondary microphone. The sleep/awake button gets another covered bump which still allows for decent feedback when pressed.
Each of the izozzi iPhone 4 cases sells for $31.95, which my opinion is fairly inexpensive considering you’re not only getting a fully functional case but a piece of art as well. The case fits the iPhone 4 like a glove. It offers a good amount of shock and impact protection in a package that turns your iPhone 4 into a walking canvas complete with professional artistic flare.
