I have long admired people who could nap anywhere, even when they weren’t sick and half-doped up on cough syrup. My problem is that if the room is too lighted, too noisy, too cold or too hot, or if I am thinking about all the other things I need to be doing, it doesn’t matter how sleepy I am, a nap isn’t happening. But let’s say that I am able to overcome all of that, perhaps because I’m the passenger on the world’s longest car ride … there is no comfortable position to get into, because no matter how far I can lean the seat back, my head is either going to bang against something or I am going to get a crick in my neck.

So this morning I get an email from a company called Wrap-A-Nap, selling what they call “a full-surround head pillow that covers both your ears and eyes, giving you 360 degrees of pillow protection, total darkness and peaceful quiet so you can literally sleep anywhere, all while looking like a Muppet Geordi la Forge.”

A Muppet Geordi La Forge? Really?!

Yeah, okay … I see it.

So the point of this product is that you can put it on your head and it will function as all in one ear-muffs, pillow, and eye cover. As silly as it looks, I think that they may be on to something here.

I mean, who wouldn’t love to be able to take a 15 minute power nap instead of a coffee break? Who wouldn’t like to be able to wake up from a car nap without a crick in their neck or a brand new goose egg?

Maybe if you use a Wrap-A-Nap, you won’t have to.

Who cares if you look silly … this is all about comfort. And at $14.99 each and with four colors to choose from, you’ll be comfortable picking up a couple to give to your favorite napper.

After all, as goofy as this guy looks, he also looks pretty comfortable.
