The 64GB 3G iPad runs $830 new. That’s certainly not inexpensive but, at least in my humble opinion, it is worth every penny.

But what if you didn’t want your iPad to look like every other iPad and you had money to burn? Judie found the answer in the airport yesterday as she arrived in Barcelona for Mobile World Congress.

Yes, for just over $4000 US this gold iPad can be yours. It has FaceTime, a dual-core A5 processor and all the other bells and whistles of any other iPad. What makes this special is the fact that, as Google translator explains, “back panel covered with 24K gold plate”. Yes, it probably also weighs a ton but what’s a little weight when you can get all that bling?

And if you are going this far don’t forget to pick up some gold accessories too.

Something tells me it was a good thing Judie had to race out of the airport in order to get to her first meeting. 🙂
