The other day we looked at one of two DBest speaker sets I have been using for the past week and a half. Here’s what DBest has to say about their products:

I reviewed the PS4001BT Solo Bluetooth Rechargeable Mini-Speaker here. Today we are going to look at the company’s 4003BT Duo Bluetooth Rechargeable Mini-Speaker Set. Like their singular cousin, the 4003BT are small. They are round. And they pack a punch. So let’s take a look.

While separate (sort of, more on that in a bit) the speakers are a pair that work together. As such, the on/off switch is only on one of the two. And, unlike the single model we covered, this unit has a volume control onboard so you don’t have to rely solely on the device supplying the music to change the volume.
The two speakers are linked to one another using the included 3.5mm cable. I was able to take the speakers and put them to the left and the right of my 27″ iMac and enjoyed listening to them while working on the review.
Once turned on, one of the speakers has a glowing blue light beneath it. It does throw off the symmetry of the speakers but… so be it.
The speakers sound good and get rather loud. AND, at all but the highest volume they don’t seem to distort all that much. Had I not already been using the single version of the speaker I probably would have been more surprised by the volume and sound but having done the other review this just seemed to up the game a bit. No, they won’t blow you away and the certainly can’t compete with my Sonos system or even my JawBone JamBox. At the same time though, at under $70 they aren’t intended to compete with those systems. They do get louder than their mono cousin so, if you are looking for some inexpensive, unusual speakers, I would recommend the pair over the single one.
Oh, and there’s another trick these speakers have up their sleeves.
Magnets in the base of each speaker lock together for easy transportation.
The magnets are strong enough to hold them together and swing them from the included 3.5mm cable. Seriously, how cool is this?
If you want a pair of speakers for under $70 that sound good, give impressive run-time and don’t look like everything else on the market they are definitely worth a look. You can find more information here on the DBest website and order them here on Amazon.
