Every now and then you come upon a movie trailer that really gets at your inner geek … well, at MY inner geek anyway! This is one of those moments. I saw a blog post by Jay at Rampant Games about Unicorn City, and simply HAD to check it out!
Here is the basic description:
A hard core gamer creates a Utopian society based on rules of table top gaming in a desperate attempt to prove to a prospective employer that he has leadership skills.
Won Best Feature at GenCon and Chicago Comedy Film Festival. Best Actress award at Los Angeles Comedy Film Festival. Official selection at Heartland, SDFF, Ojai and brought down the house at several comic cons.
Quote, “It’s Napoleon Dynamite meets Monty Python and the Holy Grail.”
Sadly it looks like the chance to see this in a theater is about finished … so we have to hope we see it on DVD soon!
