Joe Walsh Announced Upcoming Album, Releases First Song for Free!

If you are a fan of rock music from the 70s or 80s, the name Joe Walsh is immediately familiar – his time with the James Gang and the Eagles as well as his solo career produced a number of hits. His work as a sideman cemented him as a legend on the guitar.

He is the force behind hits like James Gang’s ‘Funk #49’ (trust me, you know it), Eagle’s ‘Life in the Fast Lane’ and ‘In the City’, and his own ‘Rocky Mountain Way’ and ‘Life’s Been Good’ amongst many others.

Walsh has a knack for delivering sardonic lyrics often with double meaning — fun songs such as ‘The Worry Song’ or the not-so-subtle I.L.B.Ts from the mediocre 1983 album You Bought It: You Name It (a fave of my best friend from college), as well as his ability to craft a catchy tune over a rocking harmonic structure.

Now, after more than 20 years, he is releasing a new album called ‘Analog Man’ on June 5th! Not only that, he is previewing the first song ‘Analog Man’ on his website!

In a somewhat ironic move for the self-proclaimed ‘Analog Man’, the song is hosted through SoundCloud on a widget on his site.

You can pre-order Analog Man at Amazon now.

Head to Joe Walsh’s web site for more details and to check out his new track.
